My wife and I had a difficult experience with our wedding photographer. Our photographer canceled hours before the event and sent us a coworker to shoot in their stead. After the wedding, we eagerly awaited our gallery, however, our photographer failed to deliver the finished product within the contractual deadline. We were then forced to procure the photos ourselves from that coworker of theirs. We found ourselves receiving the entire shoot unedited. To make matters worse, we had to fight for months just to receive the unedited raw files, despite having paid for the shoot upfront. The photographer had essentially left us with thousands of uncurated images, forcing us to take matters into our own hands.
As an industry professional, I knew exactly what needed to be done: culling the photos, editing for color correction, lighting adjustments, and retouching to make the images match the style my wife and I had envisioned. Though it was a huge undertaking, I applied my skills to give our photos the polished, professional look they deserved.
The whole ordeal made me realize how many couples, individuals, and photographers are likely to go through similar challenges, either because they’re not satisfied with the work of their photographer, or because a professional has found themselves with disorganized files that need hours of editing and a schedule that won’t permit it. That’s why I’ve decided to offer an affordable editing and culling service. My goal is to help others avoid the frustration and stress my wife and I went through, ensuring they get a beautifully curated gallery that truly reflects their special day, in a timely manner.
